WASHINGTON – This post will be interested who take interest in U.S. presidential Election 2024. U.S Vice President Kamala Harris is gaining popularity, leading Republican Donald Trump by 5 percentage points in a recent NBC News poll. This poll, released on Sunday, shows that since becoming the Democratic nominee for president, more people view her positively. About 48% of the 1,000 registered voters surveyed said they had a positive view of Harris, a significant increase from 32% in July. This jump is the largest seen in politician ratings since President George W. Bush’s favorability rose after the September 11 attacks in 2001.

In comparison, the same NBC poll found that 40% of respondents view Trump positively, a slight increase from 38% in July. The poll was conducted between September 13 and 17, with a margin of error of 3 percentage points.

Additionally, a CBS News poll indicated that Harris leads Trump by 4 percentage points among likely voters, with 52% supporting Harris and 48% supporting Trump. This poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points.

These findings align with other recent national polls, including those by Reuters/Ipsos, suggesting a tight race leading up to the November 5 election.

While national polls provide insights into voter opinions, the outcome will ultimately depend on state-by-state results in the Electoral College, especially in key battleground states. Trump, 78, is running for the presidency for the third time after losing to Joe Biden in 2020, a loss he continues to attribute to alleged voter fraud. Meanwhile, he is also facing legal issues related to his attempts to overturn the election results.

Harris, 59, is a former U.S. senator and prosecutor currently serving as vice president under Biden. If elected, she would be the first woman to serve as president in U.S. history.

“She’s turned this race into a referendum on Donald Trump rather than Joe Biden,” said Amy Walter, publisher and editor in chief of the nonpartisan Cook Political Report, in an interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

In the CBS poll of 3,129 registered voters conducted between September 18 and 20, Harris saw a slight rise of 2 percentage points, up from a 50-50 split in August. This increase can be attributed to her strong performance in the September 10 debate and improving economic news.

These polls highlight a shifting landscape in the race for the presidency, with Harris gaining momentum as the election date approaches.
